We work at a car dealership, and we're both responsible for handling service tickets. Anything COD has to be stamped as "paid" for archival purposes. Long story short, we were given a new (expensive) custom stamp to replace the old one that was falling apart. She instead decided that this was a personal gift for her use only and made everyone else use the old one. Anytime we commented, she'd get incredibly defensive, so rather than turn every single day into a shouting match we just let her have her "present". She even takes it home with her every night, which is weird.
Anyway, the old one finally broke. Now she's arguing with every single person in the service lane about how it's "hers", telling us to do a "better job" so we can "get our own", etc. She even got short with the service manager about it, saying that everyone else is irresponsible and shouldn't be allowed access to "her belongings". She's seriously going to get fired over a $100 custom stamp. Good riddance. --- Sad! ... Copied to Clipboard!

I wouldn't fire her but I'd make an example of her by giving her unpaid time off and denying any potential unemployment claims

We make almost $40 an hour living in the boonies so it's a pretty good fucking gig and he fucked it up over a few cases of bottled water lmao. I wish it wasn't true, but it is. She's incredibly difficult to deal with. Takes everything personally. That's the biggest reason why we don't sweat the small stuff - because we don't have time to get into bullshit arguments.
