not super sad to see small sets go. I don't think there's ever been two-set draft format I've really liked. maybe FRF/KTK/KTK. all the best are triple one set or three different sets.

core sets coming back is good. less gatewatch is good. masterpieces becoming rarer is good (I wish they were going away completely tbqh).

For the longest time, I was planning on going to Vegas. Then my plans kinda fell through about a month ago and I decided not to.

How recently have you been looking? Opus 1 got a reprint a couple of weeks ago and the stores around me have had a decent supply of them.

I'm hoping to find the new starters soon. My fire/lightning deck could really use Vivi and Amarant.

Ugh no, way too many bomb rares in FRF. It wasn't horrible but even so, it was a clear downgrade.

This seems like the best outcome, though I don't play standard or draft much anymore.

Duels is a great tool for helping people learn how to play. The old version back when it was Duels of the Planeswalkers was how I got into the game after basic introductions from friends. As long as they have something to replace that aspect, it should be fine.

Although, I'm really surprised there are so many people who seriously use Duels as their main way to play MTG. Sucks, but hopefully whatever direction the digital games are taking is actually good.

Crucible on legs is boltable, but the fact you'll always get your free land before they can respond means it might be fine.

There was a GW value town Modern deck a while ago that relied on pathing dudes and ghost quartering the opponent until they were out of basics, then recurring GQs with Crucible.

It also played Collected Company. Seems preeeeeeeeetty good.

Abrade is super powerful. I like it.

Cat's art is absolutely gorgeous. I'm guessing Eternalize is "embalm but indestructible."

If that were the case, and it was something they keyworded, that seems pretty weak for a Rare, if we are to assume that keyword can appear on commons and uncommons too.

Logically, I can see it though. The name would be fitting.
