Now it's on. The best of Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon's history against each other. I've included three live action shows, if you don't like it, too bad. I'm fairly confident these are the best and most memorable of these network's original programming. Which side will be the last one standing?

I never really cared for Samarai Jack when I was younger and I have no interest in watching the reboot. Phil Lamarr is absolutely the worst mainstream voice actor of all time, dude has 1 voice and it sounds like a white guy doing an impression of a black guy and the worst part is he plays basically every black in pretty much every cartoon, it's horrible...

Oof, heavy hitters. Still though, I gotta give it to Samurai Jack.
Avatar was well-crafted but ultimately rather generic. Samurai Jack, on the other hand, feels really unique on top of its good execution.

Samurai Jack is pretty okay for the most part, I liked that they didn't really rely on alot of spoken dialogue to tell some episodes. But all that went out the window with the new season/ mini-series they just finished.

I'd vote for Avatar TLA either way, but if it wasn't for how rushed the last half of the Samurai Jack finale felt, or for the Gurren Lagann type of ending they threw at us, I'd say the entirety of Samurai Jack is better than TLA's first season, but the second and third seasons would beat it in turn.

You would think that, especially going by just the first few episodes. It seeming childish was one of the reasons I avoided watching it for years. Watched it for the first time a little over a year ago, and honestly it is a great show with alot of depth and character. Honestly most shows (animated and live action) would benefit from tacking some notes.

And its not just popular here, it has a 9.2 on imbd. All three seasons have 5 star ratings on Amazon.

I've never understood why Samurai Jack is so divisive. I expected this to be a beatdown for that reason, but in reality, Samurai Jack could very well be in the top 5 animated TV shows of all time.

Samurai Jack is the best cartoon ever made, what are you guys smoking? To prep for season 5 I rewatched every episode and grew a new appreciation for the show, it's art.
And Phil is a great actor, his calmness fits Jack so much!!!

It's popular everywhere. It was an incredible series. Granted, the anime overtones probably helped it appeal to internet-goers.

The commercials didn't intrigue me but I got into the show by watching "The Ember Island Players" -- which basically recaps the whole series -- during the grand finale broadcast. Granted, I half gave it a watch because I won a Katara plush from a crane grab and finally decided to learn a bit about the show. It's a great show in all. I wouldn't say that it's kiddy, although a few of the jokes can skew younger.
