Before he was Batman, he got his start in westerns. I've seen him in Geronimo, where he played a cavalry officer sympathetic to the plight of the Apaches, and in a couple of episodes of TV westerns.

In The Rifleman, he played a teacher-turned-gunfighter who was running from his reputation and battling an old injury. It was the first serious role of his that I saw and it's a staunch departure from his goofier characters from Quahog and Gotham.

There was also an episode of Cheyenne where he played a very different type of masked man -- a Klansman. Needless to say, he was the bad guy in that one. For anyone locked into the image of him as the Caped Crusader, it's also a pretty bizarre experience.


Oh, and he was the producer from Badaassss. It's more of a cameo role than anything else, but he has a very memorable scene. Let's just say it's probably as much of Adam West as you've ever wanted to see and a little big more.

Pretty much only Family Guy.

Mostly voice acting stuff. He was the Grey Ghost in an episode of the Batman animated series, a villain in Marc Echo's Getting Up Contents under pressure, a n episode around old super heroes featured him in Kim Possible.

I had no idea he was on Kim Possible. That's pretty cool.

The Grey Ghost was a great episode of BTAS. I'm surprised I let that one slip my mind.

He was also on an episode of Johnny Bravo. I can't think of any other roles, but god is his voice so distinctive, you know it immediately.

Yeah. In one of the news broadcasts about his passing, they showed a clip of him talking about how his voice would be instantly recognized over the phone by operators and such.

Yeah, I'd read that he mostly played villains before getting cast as Batman. The same held true for the actor who played the Lone Ranger as well.

I remember him on a couple episodes of Laramie.

Pretty much all of his cartoon versions of himself. I avoided ever watching the god awful live action zany Batman.

He played himself in King of Queens.

Spence meets him in the subway terminal and asks if he will go with him to a comic convention, after having already asked Lou Ferrigno to go. Spence breaks the news to Lou, and on the way to the convention with Adam West, West tells Spence that Lou is a good friend of his and he knows that Spence cancelled plans with him. Adam West then leaves Spence on the side of the highway.

He's the one & only Batman, but he also did a ton of cartoon voice acting work back in the 90s before Family Guy.
