People who don't own anything will only vote for the politicians who promise to take from those who work hard and make a living. Therefore, they are much more easily manipulated by dishonest candidates, which can sometimes result in an unqualified or unskilled official being elected. Wouldn't it be much more accurate and efficient if only those who contribute to a society are the ones who decide its laws and leaders?

No but you should definitely require some form of education before being given the right to vote. Even if it's just a high school level course that you have to pass before becoming eligible. Anything to protect from the demagoguery that seems so prevalent in today's political world.
