It seems like something only added after the fact, probably by the illuminati of that era and people that ran the world.

I would assume so.

On a related note, did the real Slim Shady stand up?

But I guess we'll never really know what happened before.

Most likely. It wouldn't make sense if he got hung on the cross for being a nobody.

That's one interpretation of the story.

In the eyes of the Pharisees. In the eyes of the Romans it would be sedition. Worrying that he would end up rallying the Jews against Roman rule.

They were actually going to let Jesus go. But Pilate decided against it because he feared the Jews would go ape shit if they let him go. In the eyes of the Romans he didn't do anything wrong.

Why not? Crucifixion was an extremely common execution method at the time. In fact the thief and murderer that were crucified were nobodies

Doubtful

If he did, the Romans didn't give enough of a shit to write anything down about it, which is weird because they loved writing about stuff like that

I feel like that's a retcon that came after Christianity became popular in the empire. They felt embarrassed that they killed Jesus so they changed the story to make Jews the villains

There are a few mentions of Jesus stuff from around the time, probably most reliably from Tacitus and Josephus. But the new testament was basically a compilation of everything they could find at the time.
