I'm a backer. Got to play the demo. Looks like it's coming along well, though the jump needs a little improvement. Her run pace, in my experience, is just fine however.

I can't fucking wait for release. The Castlevania vibe is definitely there.

The primitive 3D graphics and stiff animation do a huge disservice to the concept art, much like Mighty No. 9 did to its source of inspiration (2D Mega Man).

Again and again, developers attempting to revive 2D classics choose to go with these bland 3D engines. Bloodstained raised $5.5 MILLION on kickstarter. Hollow Knight raised the equivalent of $45 THOUSAND. Why then, does Hollow Knight have infinitely better visuals and animation?

Maybe if I had been following the development of Bloodstained, the disappointment wouldn't have hit me all at once, but... this trailer has killed my hype for the game. Sorry, I'm not trying to troll something you guys like, I just honestly feel let down by what I've seen.

animation is a bit janky, but otherwise it looks great. vertical level design, several types of weapons, magic, close range, thrown, etc. enemy variety looks good too.
