So the base fear is fear of the other, as Jean Luc Baudrillard describes it. The other being that which is not you, that which you cannot understand, that which you can't see a similarity with. So for racism and bigotry, that should be pretty straight forward. For something like jealousy, that comes from a fear of not being as good as another.

Keep in mind, I didn't mean negative emotions like depression or sorrow, I meant more negative as things that stem from anxiety.
