I binge watched the first 3 seasons over the last couple weeks, 1 wasn't bad, just a little mediocre until the Hydra stuff goes down, then it was great.

2 was pretty solid throughout (RIP Trip :()

but 3... I dunno. I felt like it didn't have real direction past Hunter and May's Hydra infiltration. Ward was rebuilding Hydra, which was just a plot device to get Hive back to earth, because they didn't really do anything otherwise. Lash is a major threat, but once they find out who he is, he's captured and sidelined until a five minute scene near the end of the season where he pulls a deus ex machina on Daisy and gets killed. Sad!

I did like the end scene of Lincoln and Hive on the exploding Quinjet.

Can't wait for season 4 to hit netflix

I think looking back on it, S3 overall was my least favorite of the bunch. S4 is much, much, muuuuch better and is by far and away the best season of AoS, you will be in for a treat.

It's a better show than a lot of people think.

I really liked Season 3, the Ward and Hive storyline was great and there was a lot of good stuff with Powers Boothe and people like that.

Good lore building all around, few cruddy eps in there but I think the show is leaps and bounds better than early s1 which suffered from setting up stuff for the future but not having any old things to pay off because it was so early.

It's weird, I've heard a few people who didn't like S2 and loved S3, I've heard some people like you who seemed more the other way.

The funny thing about a show like AoS is that it's one of the most plot dense shows out there. A lot of plot progression can happen in a single episode, and so maybe it was a bit of just overload from all of it.

There have been a few episodes where it's like "oh, they are setting up that thread for next episode woah, nope they are paying it off right now, AND they are going to a second location AND they are tying in that thread"

It's like the smartest dumb show out there. And by dumb I just mean "Marvel-y and not super duper serious tonally"

Completely agree, this show is amazing. I'm sad I didn't give it a chance past the pilot when it premiered :/

S3 was solid for a while and definitely peaked at the Fallen Agent arc. The last two episodes of that season were pretty disappointing. Season four was fantastic, though.

Also gonna need them to bring back Bobbi and Hunter, since Marvel's Most Wanted isn't ever going to get made

I bailed on the show at some point early season 1.

Now I've turned around on it SO MUCH. The good episodes are better than Marvel movies (not effects wise) just because they are rich and dense and unpredictable.

It's not like the have to pretend the early episodes didn't happen, like other shows that started rocky, instead this show just goes to build on those things in ways you didn't expect. The show really builds on itself.

If tonally it's not your jam, that's fine. But if you like the tone of Marvel movies it gets quite engaging as it progresses.

I strongly disagree with that, they were always too annoyingly cheeky in a way that didn't help anything. I don't like self-importance and they both seemed like they thought they were the stars of the show when they just weren't at all.

I'm thinking S5 will be the final season so I'm really hoping they just bring everyone back at some point. Bobbi and Hunter, Creel, Deathlok, hell even Joey. I want a big epic team up fight with Daisy/Robbie/Yo-Yo/Creel/Deathlok/Joey and anyone else I'm forgetting

Five seasons is a great run. I hope they show up in Infinity War despite claims to the contrary >:(

Yeah, AoS doesn't really do long plot-heavy mysteries after that draaaaag at the start. Like when Daisy gets her powers and she begs the other guy not to tell anyone, that'd typically be something that a show drags out for five or six episodes. Nope, next episode, it all comes out.
