Worst years of my life.

I came home drunk late one night. I went into the freezer and took and ice cream sandwich, but as I was about to eat it, I realized I had to take a shit. I go into the bathroom, for some reason get fully nude, and I'm sitting on the toilet eating an ice cream sandwich while I'm pooping.

I finish my sandwich and I went to grab some toilet paper to wipe my fingers and I suddenly had a moment of clarity where I was like "what the fuck did I just do, I am butt naked eating while taking a dump"

my life has pretty much consistently stayed at that point ever since

My first (and only) year of law school. I realized that I hated it and was struggling for the first time, but didn't have a backup plan. Took almost a year to get back on my feet.

Broke up with my partner of 5 years. Lost my job. About to get kicked out of my house. Getting fat from drinking beer and eating shitty. Fishing around in my car for any change I can find under the seats because I want to eat something for breakfast/lunch. Have a "what the fuck am I doing?" moment.

Sorted it out. Just gotta take things step by step and fix one problem at a time.

In June 2011, I was extremely depressed and had some of the most negative thoughts. One of my friends (who didn't know this) unexpectedly showed a lot of interest in hanging out with me (and more). If she hadn't done this, I don't know how bad things would have gotten.

Lowest point of my life had to be this one time in school where I had a moment of clarity that I'll never amount to anything and even if I try my best I'm still below average in everything, ever since that day 12 years ago I've resigned myself to death before 40 no matter what. These thoughts have not changed since that day.

Highest was the day I thought I really was going to die, I felt just relieve, the suffering was over, I didn't have to keep trying,I'd never feel anything ever again, then as if something jolted me I woke up in the hospital, the operation was success. I'd have to continue struggling and failing through life once more.

I struggled with alcoholism. Last summer was the worst and I had to take major steps to fix this. Also, I spent seven years trying to overcome the rx pain meds that I was legally prescribed by a quack.

Last year before I quit my old job. I hated everything.

Unemployed, wasn't in school, just had a messy breakup in a fairly serious relationship, stopped going to the gym and eating properly, alienated family and friends, etc.

Eventually did a complete 180, thankfully, because in hindsight I was on the way out.

2012 was great and then in 2013 everything fell apart and kept getting worse up until like 2015. Now things are back to being relatively normal.

Last year.

This year has been ok I guess.

I'll just list two of the worst.

1: Early 20's, I had a decent amount of money from a legal settlement, but my family stole most of it and shamed me for spending any on myself. My dad was ar his worst at this point, constantly asking for money and cysdung/beating me if I didn't give it to him, only for him to steal as much as he could get anyway. This was when he decided to kill me, and it ended up in a huge family brawl with him holding me down on the floor strangling me and biting my arms when I tried to push him off.

2: Last year when I tried therapy. I was super depressed already, and needed help. Instead he kept telling me things like how id make an awful father, that he'd also be ashamed of himself if he had my life, that im not worth his time. So thats when I decided that suicide was the best course. Luckily I didnt go through with it, but it was close.

The last two or so years. Mom died, lost my job, dropped out of school, shitty breakup, in debt, moved back in with parents, suicide attempt, spent time in the psych ward, diagnosed with bipolar and OCD, haven't gone outside more than 6 times in the last 6 months. Only good thing to come from the past couple of years is I have great friends, closest I've ever been to other people tbh. Just started to try to fix things recently, but things are looking up and I'm done with this shit.

Also, probably the first year of dating my longest running ex back in 2001. I should have dumped her ass.
