Is Splatoon 2 considered more of a heavy hitter than ARMS? I'd say they could be about equal, I guess Splatoon gets the edge due to the fact of being a sequel but ARMS is hype as fuck

Spla2oon is definitely is the bigger hitter. Not just that it's a sequel, but because Splatoon was a huge success.

ARMS gets more attention since it's released first and it's a new, unknown product.

for perspective, Splatoon 1 sold 4.8M units on a system that only sold 13.5M

yeah, I get that. I just wanted to point out that Splatoon is a big, big deal. it singlehandedly carried the Wii U in Japan the last 2 years.
