Picking select songs instead of discovering an album. Back in the day you'd go to a music store and buy an album with no prior knowledge of the group because the cover looked interesting etc.

Also now so many are downloading illegally that it's rare to see an album even go gold when 25 years ago albums with no radio promotion went gold.

It's like people are afraid to step outside the box.

Illegal downloading rates are dropping I believe. The convenience of buying digitally now has outweighed the need to pirate to the general public.
