I thought about not including BotW, but I figured some people would be all like "But I like its minimalist soundtrack!" Yeah, I'm still kind of disappointed about it, but at least there are plenty of other great soundtracks. However, I have a hard time choosing one.

Clock Town theme was the fucking shit so MM by default.

I might've voted Link's Awakening (stuff like Ballad of the Wind Fish and Tal Tal Heights man), but since it's not there I had to go with Wind Waker. Majora's Mask might be my third. Pretty much every game has a good soundtrack though.

The Game Boy Zeldas had some good tunes in them

Zelda main theme is the best for me and sadly it is absent in Ocarina of time save the end credits in the 3DS version. I voted the first legend of zelda because the music always fits well.

That seems like a reference to the main theme if you ask me. I mean, yeah, it's not the complete theme by any means, but I'm tired of people perpetuating the myth that it's completely absent from OoT. It could have been a coincidence though, as the entire Hyrule Field theme has many sections that sound like a slight variation on the main theme.

It has its moments, but a lot of the best music in it is just remixes of stuff that appeared in previous games.

Majora's Mask has the most memorable songs for me, Clock Town (especially the 3rd day version), Song of Healing, Stone Tower Temple, Termina Field. Koji Kondo is a an amazing composer.

Close second is Ocarina of Time and Link's Awakening.

Yeah, Hyrule Field has allusions to the classic theme, but even Zelda II did that w/ the intro of it's over world music

It for sure feels inspired by the original main theme I agree, but it's just not it. I think the majority of music in the zelda games are the best in video games period including the Hyrule Field theme in OOT. But for me the main theme will always be the best fitting of a Zelda adventure.

Damn, even the NES games have more votes than BotW

I loved BotW (easily the best Zelda game), but the soundtrack was lackluster.

There were some awesome tracks like Hyrule Castle and Korok Forest, but music was too scarce in that game. The overworld theme was a few piano chords separated by 15 seconds of silence.
