Cj_WlLL_VVlN 06/06/17 10:40:42 PM #1:	Like I could have told you last year at this time that in a year the Warriors would be beating the cavs two games to none right now. And barring injury you can pretty much pick the playoff teams at the beginning of the season and then watch the Warriors and cavs dominate straight through. Not only that but you get to watch guys flop, fake injuries, get called for fouls if you breathe in the direction of a star and watch defense today be about as tough as an all star game 20 years ago. This would all make sense if it was all that was on but it almost exactly overlaps with hockey. A sport with tough defense, competitive games, a ton of parity and some of the best most exciting playoffs with upsets and hard fought series. A game where guys pretend not to be hurt and get back out here. The sharks just being one team had a guy with a broken hand, a guy with a separated shoulder, a guy with a torn mcl and torn acl and a guy with a broken jaw that was wired shut all out on the ice for love of the game come playoff time. But the current state of the NBA, where the Warriors and Cavs are so far above everyone else (and the Warriors are so far above the Cavs too) has turned it into a complete mess. This season was literally 6 months of meaningless regular season games, then 3 rounds of meaningless postseason games, to get to the NBA Finals matchup that we predicted back in October... and even that series is pretty much over after only 2 games. Don't blame the sport of basketball itself for the games being boring this season. Blame the players for their arms race mentality that has brought together these two superteams that rule over everyone else. Blame the league for doing nothing to keep the league balanced and under control.
