I got promoted and given a raise. I worked one pay period of lower hours due to requested time off, but the money seemed a little low still. I didn't think much of it. Well, I got paid last friday and checked and my hourly rate is still what it was before the promotion. I politely asked for back pay for the missed wage difference, and he agreed and was friendly about it.

I got that a few days later. He sent me some arbitrary number of hours... at the pay rate I was making before. Thinking this was just his way of equating the difference, I raised an eyebrow but waited until today to see.

I just got paid today a day late due to the bank holiday. A full 80 hour 2 week period...

On the wage I was making before the promotion.

I did. I basically told him my pay was incorrect, we agreed on X wage, and that I'd like to be paid the difference I was supposed to be given. He stated he corrected it, then sent me a "backpay" check. Two weeks later I got paid again and it's the same wage he said he fixed.

I'd talk to him again. It can't hurt to question his logic. "I thought we agreed on X, why am I getting paid Y still"?
