to keep the attention of his own followers?

Like 99% of Christians have never read most of the Bible. Wouldn't an all-powerful God be able to make sure his book was a page-turner? Like if I was God, I would make people be like "Damn, this is some interesting shit. I have to be at work early in the morning, but I think I'll keep reading for another hour instead of going to bed." But instead everybody pretty much loses interest after the Adam and Eve story.

Most people would never make it to psalms if they started reading the Bible with the intent to read from start to finish.

Why did an all powerful and infinite God choose to only reveal himself to a small tribe of Israelites in a very small corner of the globe? Why did he give them divine right and actual commands to commit genocide against the people of Canaan if we're ALL his people? And since Jesus wasn't born yet where did those people go? Why did he choose some of the most ineffective ways to communicate with us if He loves us so much? Surely he could have done better than a book that was hobbled together over several hundreds of years by different Hebrew scholars. Why did God choose a small time period in early human civilization to be active in human affairs and then completely disappeared from performing miracles and doing magical shit shortly thereafter? Forever. And never was active again.

Why did God need to come up with some convoluted system of forgiveness by impregnating a virgin with Himself, so He could teach a small group of disciples in human form until he was killed as a sacrifice to Himself, to fulfill a role as a sacrifice for rules He created? Why not just forgive us without all the blood sacrifice...?

The list goes on and on.

Obviously he deliberately made it boring because he doesn't want too many people to read it and find the secrets within.
