14 y/o FEMINIST Sophie Harris from Nelson, British Columbia was reprimanded by her School because she wore a TANK TOP and SHORTS to school and she posted a picture of herself on instagram to show what she wore where one teacher said she dressed like a TRAMP!!

She's blasting her school's dress code and bashing the "frankly misogynistic" idea that girls outfits can be "distracting" to teen boys.

She and several other girls are protesting the rules even though she was WITHIN the guidelines and how they are unfairly targeting female students who are 13 or older at Trafalgar Middle School. All the girls wore their best crop tops to catch the attention of school officials

She wrote "Today, i got dress coded before school even started. I was told that my entire outfit was inappropriate. I was told "We have 11 and 12 y/o boys at this school. We can't have you dressed like that"

She opposed the idea that her outfit was inappropriate and said it complied with the rules because her top covered her upper body and wasn't see through. Her shorts could touch her hemline if she reached down meaning they required length.

Sophie wrote that she was never been reprimanded by her FEMALE TEACHERS and said "Every time i've been dress coded it's been because it's "distracting to young boys" which is frankly misogynistic because it's not my problem. It's summer, deal with it. Furthermore, you'll see guys at our school wearing their pants around their knees and not getting dress coded. The website says that it's equal for boys an girls but it's clearly not because i've seen boys without shirts on and their pants about to fall off".

Sophie also posted other pics of her outfits which were not in violation and was surprised when one male teacher said she dressed like a Tramp!!

The girls said the dress code is sexist and unfair and protested wearing their crop tops and said "Shoutout to the many amazing people who supported the case #croptoptuesday"..

The principal, Carol-Ann Leidloff said the protest was a great learning opportunity where students expressed their frustrations in a peaceful way and a good example of democracy in action.

School officials will meet with ONE boy and girl in 8th grade to discuss improvements in the dress code as the principal cheered the decision.

Her outfit was within the dress code and still got told it was inappropriate.
