21 y/o Micah Fletcher, the Portland train stabbing survivor spoke out on Wednesday and ACCUSED the city for having a "WHITE SAVIOUR COMPLEX" after strangers raised more money for HIM rathe than the 2 teen girls he was protecting from a racist knifeman!!

He was attacked alongside 2 other Samaritains that were killed, 53 y/o Rick Best and 23 y/o Taliesin Myrddin Namkai-Meche

The 3 men stepped in when white supremanist loon, Jeremy Joseph Christian hurled racist insults at 17 y/o Destinee Magnum and her Muslim Friend

Micah was severely injured in the attack which caused an outpouring of donations and support from strangers around the world but released a facebook video to thank everyone who supported him for urged them to their turn attention on the teen girls instetad

He lamented the fact that people gave more to him and the white adult males who died saving them and said it was "immensely morally wrong"

Micah said "We live in Portland, have this weird tendency to continue patterns that we've done forever and one of them is this same old, just to put it bluntly, white saviour complex. I think it's immensely, immensely morally wrong and irresponsible how much money we have gotten as opposed to how much support, money, love and kindness that has been given to that little girl. We need to remember that this is about them..they are the real victims here"

Money raised for all of them have reached almost 800,000 combined.....

A page he shared for the girls have not yet 100,000 as he spoke on camera that he was fine but urged well wishers to s support the grieving families of other men killed and said "Yes, 2 men tied. yes i was injured. Yes, yes of course we need support all three of us. When it comes down to it, when a kid's hurt like that we as a society, as a world, have a moral obligation to do something about it and to help"

Meanwhile, 35 y/o Jeremy lashed out in court and said he was GLAD he killed 2 liberals and would have died happy if the police had killed him. He screamed "You call it terrorism, i call it patriotism. you hear me? Die. Death to the enemies of America. Leave this country if you hate our freedom"

if the answer to both of those questions is no, i'm pretty sure the families of the dead guys and the people with medical bills could use the money more.

He's not saying they should be given more money specifically

He's saying the amount of money he/the others are receiving just for doing the right thing is kinda ridiculous, especially with how little kindness/support the intended victims are actually receiving in comparison.

The girls aren't receiving much on the end of "We're sorry to see there are lunatics out there that want to kill you." But they're sure as hell seeing a lot of "We're sorry these guys died protecting these girls."

i would argue they're not receiving money for doing the right thing, they're receiving money as recompense for wrongful injury and death

The average person that suffers wrongful injury or death doesn't receive nearly a million dollars in donations, so... I'm not sure how you can separate the two like that. They're receiving that "recompense for wrongful injury and death" only because they did the right thing.

sure, i'll grant it's a combination of the two. it's like a venn diagram. they are receiving recompense for being damaged in the process of doing the right thing- which is theoretically what happens automatically with people hurt in the process doing their job or serving in the military

at the same time, i can't possibly believe you're suggesting they would be getting these donations if the entire story was "three guys stand up for kids on the subway. they are okay. possibly even a little sad. please donate"

I live within a few miles of where this happened the family of the people need the money a lot more than the girls of the racist attack do a funeral is a lot more expensive than a verbal racist attack on the girls

His point is that people aren't feeling bad for the kids, they're just kinda ignoring them. Not many are reaching out to the intended victims in any way, even if just to say "Sorry you had to witness that" or "It's awful people like that exist." The guy wanted to kill THEM and no one really cares.

But people are tripping over themselves to pay him for being a hero.
