Cause I swear I've been seeing Tekken 7 in cabinet arcades for years now. It had everything including the boss Kazumi and stuff. I've never played a Tekken game before, but based on what I've seen, I think that it might be a good replacement for my primary fighting game series. Would you say it's worth me getting Tekken 7? I couldn't get into Street Fighter or Blazblue because I disliked the dependence on quarter circle movements, and I always had trouble doing those. Looking at Tekken 7's move lists online, each character only has a couple moves that use those, and most inputs are just one direction and one or two buttons. That simplicity in the inputs is why I enjoyed Soul Calibur and is part of why I want to try Tekken. The inputs are much, MUCH easier than BlazBlue, GG or SF and partially that's because movement is more important here than other games. There are a few moves that are unblock able but that's okay because you can simply sidestep them and punish if you can spot them on time. As for characters, there isn't too many characters with a skill wall (fucking Carl) behind them so you can pretty much go in feeling confident with just about everyone but if you wanna pull off the fun stuff you're gonna have to practice of course. --- You haven't set a signature for the message boards yet. After checking out the roster and a character overview guide I saw on the T7 board, the ones I saw that looked most interesting to me were: Alisa Bryan Gigas Katarina King Lili Yoshimitsu For the first six, do you know if any of them are really difficult to learn? And as for Yoshimitsu, would trying to use him during the transition period (moving from Soul Calibur) be a good idea if I used him in that series? She has a lot of predictable attacks that hit hard if they do get through, and a few high/low combos that can throw someone off guard. Her throws are great for breaking the stage. Alisa's my sub. She can be a bit stiff and most of your movement will be stilted as a result, but the payoff is getting those chainsaws of hers running and completely breaking an opponent's high/low guard with them. I haven't played online at all yet, but against Arcade/Treasure mode CPU's (on Normal right now) I'm having a blast using her. I'm still trying to learn new combos and approaches with her, but what I've learned so far is pretty fun. Plus, it helps that Alisa herself is adorable. My attempt to learn King isn't going as well because I'm finding it pretty hard to memorize all of his grapple sequences, so I think I'll come back for him later on.
