I don't think I will ever fully understand why this administration is so vehemently opposed to anything related to climate. Greed and all that, but holy fuck this is embarrassing and infuriating. This Presidency is really showing the problem of a government not beholden to its people that can just do whatever the fuck it wants with no explanations. The problem has been there, but Trump has really set off the alarms.

Paris in itself isn't a huge problem, but it continues to represent the larger issue.

hopefully with the next president we'll join other countries (nicaragua I think?) saying that the paris agreement doesn't go far enough, and we won't join until there's a plan to actually tackle the problem, then that'll be great.

I'm not going to say that climate change isn't real, but what I am going to say is that every single person in this topic that says it is is utterly full of shit and has no idea what they're talking about.

Not one of you is qualified at all to have an informed opinion on this issue and neither am I.

Probably one of the dumber things I've seen someone say on here. You should feel really bad about what you said.

I actually believe in several different political ideologies.

Trump supporters are smarter than you. Now I covered my bases.

Idk, It could have been a huge waste of money. Just because its the "right" thing to do doesnt mean we should continue to do it. If we can't afford it them, we can't afford it.

When it becomes our time to take office then we will be saying, "That Trump was an idiot for letting such agreements waste all of our money that we have to pay back now! Some businessman!"

You guys should stop viewing the world so black and white. Its unhealthy. Besides, its time the US puts its big boy pants on and go straight nuclear (Too bad Trump doesnt have the balls to make that move).

If the extent of our care stops at the point we're dead, why bother with anything? It's all meaningless because we're all going to die.

The EU needs to levy a carbon tax against the US. Our economy may tank, but that's exactly what we deserve.

The Paris agreement is largely toothless and insufficient. But it's better than nothing.

Better than nothing? It is nothing.

Unless you consider the whole 'You'll get your rights eventually, just wait a little bit longer' bit from the 1960s to be 'better than nothing' as well. It's an empty promise that makes you feel good without doing anything.

I can't wait until Trump is removed and the Western world can go back to normal. The French elections showed that the mistakes of Brexit and Trump have been noticed; it's now only a matter of time of waiting for them to wear off rather than anticipating another one occurring.

This would mean a lot more if Trump would try to back an international bill that will combat climate change and pollution much more proactively, but we know he's not going to do that.
