Sega promoting James "Buster" Douglas Knockout Boxing as one of the launch titles for the Genesis.

Sega wanted to one-up Mike Tyson's Punch-Out with a 16-bit game starring the man who knocked Tyson out. Except the game was a clumsy rendition of Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots with boxers' heads awkwardly fixed onto identical bodies. Oh, and Douglas lost his title in his first defense. I sure hope they got the game out on shelves before that happened.



Douglas may have pulled off an upset against Tyson, but Punch-Out knocks this game out in the first round.
