Rotten Tomatoes is just percentage of positive reviews. Ghostbusters got pretty average reviews sorted as positive (because binary systems are dumb), hence why the average score is only 6.5. Having seen it I can say it is one hell of a 3/5, average film.
Use the average scores if you want, which is what Metacritic uses. Incidentally the film has a 79 Metacritic which is great! --- I just decided to change this sig. So yeah. ... Copied to Clipboard!

As someone whom watches like 2 movies a year, I prefer metacritic so I can know HOW good a movie is instead of number of people who find it good.
