For myself, poetic structure has nothing do with music. I enjoy whistling more than talking on a beat. Am i just not listening to the right stuff? When you're talking about lyrics and flow, Rakim is still probably the greatest (especially with flow) but there are other contenders. When it comes to the music, no one comes close to Eric B. and Rakim. That doesn't fit what he wants. That's why. Based on what he said he will hate that song. The TC didn't say he just wanted instrumental songs. That's not what I meant. He wants songs with more emotion than that.
