Order of the Stick: Starting to get into some character development stuff, and thusly starting to get attached to some of these guys (mostly Durkan and Haley)

WoT ToM: I was starting to sour on Mat until he wrote Elayne a letter. Also I still really like Dyelin but I still feel like she's up to something...although at this point I can't imagine what.

Culdcept: I actually lost a few times on that Nighthawk/Gen 3-way. I think the solution is to worry less about matching elements on every single land, and more about leveling up lands where I do have a match. It's working out for me so far, except when I make dumb mistakes, and to that point I'm learning to trust the advice cursor more with complicated fights. Anyway, I have a feeling the plot might actually exceed my (mediocre) expectations, but some of these three-ways are more organically set up than others. AN EXECUTIONER IS TRYING TO KILL US BOTH BUT MY COMPANION HAS A GRUDGE AGAINST HIM SO BETTER FIGHT HER TOO

LoliRock 2-22- Oh hey Lev backstabbed everybody again. Shock! Face turn at the end might stick this time, though. Pretty solid stuff!

MLP Movie was dang fun! Good villains, good songs, Kristen Chenoweth, Trixie (and I think Cheese Sandwich?) cameos....good stuff all around! I'm a ninja guy, but I do have a soft spot for lady pirates, so that group was fun. More actiony and dark than I was expecting, so I wouldn't recommend it for the youngest fans, but I think I would've liked that movie even going in without liking MLP. My one gripe was I feel like Twilight's little EDGE run felt a bit out of character.

I saw the MLP movie yesterday too. It was a lot of fun. Tempest was a great character, and the Storm King was pretty good as well. I enjoyed the Sea Pony part, that was neat too.

They really did pack in a lot of cameos during that first major song of the movie. Starlight was also there for a couple of seconds as well, although, if you blinked, you probably missed it.

When Rainbow Dash created the Sonic Rainboom around the airship was quite the "not so smart" move though, ah, yeah, just tell Tempest exactly where you are in the sky, yup, uh huh, like she's not going to notice!

STEAM BATTLE- TRANSISTOR: After a first round win by default, we're getting our first look at our top seed this tournament! Honestly, this is probably the "real" finals of the tournament, unless Steins;gate or Tomoyo After can perform closer to expectations in round 2. Transistor did well in the last steam battle, and the games that stopped it are all out of the way here, so it's the game to beat. Let's see if I remember how to play! I currently have Jaunt, Bounce, Spark(Crash), and Help(Switch). Breach is overloaded I guess. I immediately remember how much I like the atmosphere, and the female musician main character. More games should have female musician main characters and I hope she remains as such. Anyway, mostly cutscenes, but I got a feel back for the controls, leveled up, and found a beach area where I (barely) passed a speed test. These limiter things are kinda fun! I'm not sure there's enough granularity in the EXP system for them to matter right now, but I'm using double shielded cells anyway. I don't really remember much about the plot, but I don't think we know much about the plot at this point anyway, so fine.

WoT ToM: I am a fan of post-crisis Rand after all that EDGE! Also cool, Alanna still exists probably.

Trails: I have scoured the beach and proceeded SE from numerous hollows surrounded by cliff walls, but the treasure remains a mystery. Got annoyed and wandered off to do other quests, and completely accidentally found the girl whose uncle I was supposed to escort. Bailed him out, so at least that's one sidequest done today!

MLP 7-20- A Health of Information: A disease that'll turn you into a tree? Well I never. Pretty interesting episode! Good lesson to learn, and I feel like it's outside the realm of the struggles Fluttershy usually has. Also felt like a departure dealing with a force of nature more than an interpersonal issue. Good to see Zecora again, too. But man, The Stare didn't work!

The treasure is in a bullshit spot IMO. It's accessible if you walk along the edge of the ocean in the second or third zone.

It was nice getting an episode that wasn't the usual "Fluttershy encounters stage fright, and has to overcome it". Here we got a very different Fluttershy, one that was all ready to go head first into the problem and attempt to solve it anyway she could. That is one crazy disease though, being turned into a tree, which is about as close to "death" as the show could probably come without actually talking about it directly, other than Applejack's and Apple Bloom's parents of course. Those Flash Bees are tough customers though, "The Stare" having no effect, who could of thought, right?

This episode finally gives us a look at who Meadowbrook is. The only time her name appeared before, was during the Season 5 opener involving Starlight brainwashing the Mane 6 to join her after she stripped them of their cutie marks, and Twilight goes on to mention that the now fake "Staff of Sameness" couldn't of been one of the legendary 8 artifacts of Meadowbrook, despite Starlight's claim that it was.

P5: Madarame BEATED. Another quality boss fight! ....lol the maid service scene. I'll work on that, probably. I've got no ideas on the "black mask," but I do have some wild guesses on other stuff!
1) The whole getting captured thing in the future is part of the plan. In this case, I suspect Morgana as the "mole." Actually, I could see Morgana as a legitimate mole who then has a redemptive arc, too.
2) Morgana is female
3) Sae is working for us in the future
4) We're taking down a newscaster next

WoT ToM: Nynaeve is rapidly becoming a top tier character, which is very surprising to me. Also, I am not sure it's a good assumption that Mesaana is disguised as an Aes Sedai! Meanwhile, Perrin and Faile are back to being really cute. I'm really enjoying this last stretch now that we're past EDGELAND. Character development! Hope! Pleasant things sometimes! It's amazing.

Tiger Mask w 18- Spring Tiger is Born: Oh man I am really hyped for this. Haruna has been my fave this whole time, and in fact before I started watching, I had seen a gifset that led me to believe this series was gonna be all women's wrestling. I was thusly a bit disappointed when it wasn't, but we're finally getting it!

OotS: Some kinda fillery stuff, but trouble's waiting in the wings with the Linear Guild and (IIRC) the paladin people.

STEAM BATTLE- Recettear: I remember not much caring much for the dungeon crawling segments, as I am not much of an ARPG guy. (or action anything, really) Hall of Trials was perfectly fine, though! We cleared it without too much issue, and made a killing off the loot. We might just make that first payment!

THE VERDICT: This was a tough one that I debated internally the entire drive home. Both are games I for sure want to play, albeit not quite at the invincible grab-me-by-the-throat level. I'm going to give it to Transistor by a HAIR, which might even just be subconsciously talking myself into it because it gets support in this topic. But it'll be something that isn't super weeb-looking at least! And I have Persona and Stardew to scratch my time/resource management itch for now. And no inventory management. We'll see if one of the VNs steps it up, but if not, we're Transistor bound!

Culdcept: Finished wrecking the triple threat with Gen and Tenet. Next up, Nighthawk and Zonk! My book is off to a worryingly slow start, but that's just how my playstyle works. If I can keep it relatively close in the opening stages, I can usually overwhelm with value later on!

LoliRock 2-23: Whoa, Carissa episode out of nowhere, although I have to wonder if it was originally an Aurianna ep with her conspicuous (albeit explained) absence. Blitzball, you say? I am having issues prioritizing my social links because I am interested in everybody. :\ Ann and Ryuji are coming along nicely, since they text me most often. Culdcept: Is it bad that I like all the NPCs more than my avatar? I keep losing really tight story matches to Nighthawk- one by his swooping into a gate even though I'd hit the target first and passed it by more, and one by Sonja landing on his Level 5 territory when I could've otherwise won a few turns later. I'm kinda over all these three-ways because I feel like it's somehow throwing me off. Anyway, I'm doing a solo battle 2v2 to let off some steam after losing every available story mission >_>

MLP 7-21- Marks and Recreation: A good one! Rumble was pretty entertaining in the beginning, and I felt like he had some decent points. I wonder how much fear of success has subconsciously held me back before? Probably a good bit. I also liked the circle haiku pony.

MGS 9-1: The Fear was certainly a thing! I'm not sure how I feel about it. I enjoyed the oher weapons designer deciding to rat on the Shagohod, lol.

Persona 5: I might like this Akechi guy if he wasn't a "detective prince." Anyway, I have gone as far as I could in Mementos, and now we are having a welcome party. I want more of Makoto's angle!

Culdcept: Broke through on several of the levels that beat me before! Now we're back in business. I have enough cards that I can start thinking about theme decks, but I think my "bit of everything" deck is still fine for now.

STEAM BATTLE: Tomoyo After: Hey cool, we got to the title sequence and now there's plot beyond Fanservice Corner! Can't say I particularly object to Tomoyo in cosplay and stuff, but I was beginning to think that was going to be the entire game. Anyway, Tomo's pretty cute, but the writing still feels a bit off and pervy somehow.

THE VERDICT: Both games needed to show an improvement over the first round, and both did. As much as I loved Clannad, though, Steins;gate showed me more potential. Tomoyo just doesn't feel like Clannad yet. It is moving in that direction, and might get there, but for now I'm going with the more suspenseful one. Your finals: Transistor vs. Steins;gate!

STEAM BATTLE- Steins;Gate: ...Okay NOW this is interesting. I have no theories YET, but I'm pretty sure time travel is part of this game. Also hey, a Dr. Pepper mention in a Mages game! Neptunia makes just a hair more sense now. Transistor I think still has the edge going into its last play, but now it's a match I'll have to think about before deciding.

Tiger Mask W 19- The Escape From Hell: Suddenly, Odin's working face! Also Hell in the Hole is a pretty interesting concept, albeit too hardcore in execution for my tastes. Poor Haruna :\

Trails: Sidequests complete for the moment! I really should've been able to figure out the roulette table clue without outside help, but I wasn't. :\ Anyway, somebody who seems more interested in testing Estelle and Joshua than crime? Somebody weird enough to become a "phantom thief"? Somebody with a vested interest in not revealing their secret identity? Somebody with B as an initial? That's gotta be Cassius, right? :D I look forward to future adventures in this line. I do not look forward to future treasure hunt(s) with Jimmy.

Culdcept: Took down the Yuma/Somnia 3-way, albeit not without a comeback threat at the end. It's hard to feel good about beating down Yuma with how scarred and depressed she is :\

STEAM BATTLE- Transistor: I can't quite settle on a loadout I like- I tried Load() but wasn't really able to use it effectively, and took two Emergency Turns to get by. Did pass all my available tests, though, and hit level 6. I took Ping() because Get() sounded like something that would take a higher skill level than mine to use effectively. I kinda wish I had just some sorta quick sword swipe so I could stop blowing fancy attacks on shielded cells. Anyway, buildings are disappearing so that's....certainly a thing.

THE VERDICT: Steins;gate got my attention, but it was too little too late. I'm a fan both of VNs and of RPGs with fancy customization systems, but Transistor scoots by on having a slightly more interesting setting.

WoT ToM: So much character development for Perrin wooo. And Galad having a crush on Berelain is kinda hilarious. In addition to a WoT grand strategy game, now I kinda want a musou game. Also a fighting game, in the Soul Calibur style where there are a jillion "extra" characters that are just reskins but fill roles in the story, and everybody has a bit of variance on the story path and their own ending. I should've seen the Morgase thing coming, but I didn't!

Xenocide: NOW business is starting to pick up :D

Culdcept: Another shocking death, geeze. I might've believed you that two Free Bats were gonna die, but those would've been the last two I guessed! Anyway, Terrormire beat me soundly on my first attempt, but I made a much more aggressive deck with some anti-fire, and turned the tables. ....Honestly, I don't see much reason right now to buy any of the specialty packs over the Standard.
