WoT TGS: Egwene wreckin' some face :D This whole book is one big crowning moment of awesome for her, and I'm okay with that.

#FE: BEATED. Last boss was a slobberknocker! I actually think his first form might've been harder to handle thanks to the reinforcements, but Dies Irae was not a fun attack to deal with. We did it though, with plenty of traditional RPG cliches on the way! This was a fun game overall! Not the most amazing thing I've ever played, and you'd have to be a weeb to get any kind of enjoyment out of the story, but gameplay was fun when the levels weren't annoying! Final ranking:
Top Tier: Mamori, Tiki
High Tier: Maiko
Upper Tier: Barry, Tsubasa
Mid Tier: Touma, Ellie, Itsuki
Low Tier: Kiria, Yashiro

But that was primarily a really long warmup for.....

PERSONA 5: The adventures of Leif! The aesthetic so far is not as up my alley as 3 or 4 or Q, but the game positively oozes "cool." So far we're still exploring the subway system, but I like everybody I've met so far!

STEAM BATTLE- STEINS;GATE: I've seen a buncha hype for this one, and I think it has a pretty good chance of taking this! It's a VN with plenty of B8 fans, so I expect to like it even without any awareness of what it's about. Hey, MAGES! They had a good character in Neptunia. I base all my game developer opinions thusly. Anyway, if there's a menu button, I can't find it. :\ Would be nice to be able to read TIPS! ...So is this just gonna be a dude chuuni-ing it up? I couldn't figure out how to save, so I guess I'll have a lot to re-do next time. I did, however, find two buttons that take out my phone, and several that skip text! Also the backlog, which only appears to work sometimes. I don't have a strong opinion on the game yet, but I don't think controls should be a big hurdle for VNs >_>

P5: I think I'm still on like day 3? Still doing hand-holdy tutorial kinda stuff, but hey I have three people now! I like Morgana so far. I'm used to Persona getting a bit dark, but not this edgy this early! I feel I'll get used to it and like it, but the vibe isn't clicking with me yet like 3 and 4 did. I also miss saving anywhere :( ...Man, we're just jumping straight into physical abuse and sexual harrassment and attmepted suicide o_o

Wifebolo and I finished 30 Rock! 'Twas a dang good time. Got a bit silly towards the end, but was still enjoyable.

And with that we're off to Nashville for a few days! I should have internet, but we'll see.

Xenocide: IDK man this is getting a bit weird with the philotes or midichlorians or whatever. I am glad Jane is here and the Path people are fun but I'm usually more invested than this at this point.

STEAMBATTLE
...So this is awkward. At some point, I was convinced enough I owned Stanley Parable that I put it on my list of games I have purchased most recently. Turns out I don't own it! I suspect at some point it went on sale for super cheap or something and I intended to buy it but forgot or something. Anyway, we need a scab! I still kinda get decision paralysis looking through my library, but I've been in a tabletop gaming mood lately so let's try....

100% Orange Juice: This was actually pretty fun! I had forgotten everything about how to play, but it came back to me pretty quickly, along with the fact that I am not good at it. You don't appear to be able to save mid-game, which is a big penalty since I play in short bursts, but it has a lot of potential!

THE VERDICT: I will give Steins another shot, but that was a LOOOOT closer than I expected it to be. Good news for the rest of the field, because Steins was one of the big favorites!

Xenocide: The Ender side of things just isn't grabbing me at all for whatever reason (we have sentient molecules now, I guess?) but the Path side is still interesting.

1 Tim-2 Tim 2: Wasn't getting much out of it until I got to a bit about avoiding dumb quarrels right in the middle of being engaged in one online. Rekt.

MLP 7-18- Daring Done: The Sonambula story is pretty dang cute. The literal leap of faith was a bit silly, but Daring Do is still fun.

It was a fun episode. Yeah, the end portion was a bit weird though. And yes, definitely a "pool of slime", right. But considering the target audience, a "pool of acid" or something like that would be a bit too much for the TV rating of the episode.

Tales of Zestiria: I'm now past the game's tutorial and completed some storyline stuff in the game's first city.

WoT TGS: I'd forgotten about Hurin! I'd be excited to see him again if he seemed likely to do anything more than be Rand's chew toy and then die to something or other.

Paranatural: I immediately like Max. I am weirdly susceptible to borderline-stalker type characters as long as they stay on that borderline. Also, RJ backstory I guess! Bit ham-fisted but I'll take it. ...This action scene is certainly hard to follow! ....And we're CAUGHT UP!

Persona 5: Got quite far into the tower! I still don't have a good grasp of stealth mechanics, as sometimes my ambushes just....backfire. Anyway, I'm trying hard to get to the Treasure on my second run, because apparently I have to make a separate run after that? And it's just a good idea to stay on top of dungeons in persona anyway. Characters are rapidly growing on me. I like the doctor lady, albeit not so much that I actually MEANT to spend time on her social link before I finished the dungeon.

Persona 5- Stuff I forgot to say last time: I like the Talk system- that's lifted outta the main SMT series, right? I think I was trying to use it too much at the very beginning though, which seems to have hampered my EXP/Money gains. I feel bad executing my Personas :( I like the parkour/stealth bits when they work well, but like previously stated, I sometimes have trouble getting Joker to do what I want. I got the Soma DLC, sold it on B8's recommendation, and blew all my megabuxx on equipment. Success? I'm already finding myself wanting to do a New Game+ later because I'm not being very efficient with this start. I'm not sure who I'm gonna pursue mostly for social links yet. I like all the characters so far, but nobody stands out either. B8 gave me some hot tips on who to prioritize, but I forgot to copy them down. >_> What I want is to talk to the cranky coffeeshop guy, but that doesn't appear to be an option (yet). I wound up putting everybody in butler and maid costumes because why wouldn't you do that.

Some of the camp Black sisters escaped with the dream ter'angreal and most of the Tower sisters fled. There was a delegation of sisters sworn to Egwene that were sent to the Black Tower to see what was going on, but, suspiciously, no word was received by them.

Yeah, Persona 5 really starts clicking once you're reached that first Palace. The stealth mechanics work well most of the time, but they do have their quirks as well. Acquiring money in the first Palace is kind of tight, as most enemies really aren't worth that much yet.

As for going for the treasure, there is a separate day required to officially get it, but make sure your prepared before doing it, but just know that clearing a Palace also means it's destroyed from the game too, and can't be returned to once the boss is defeated.

Yup, the Palace collapses, just make sure you don't wait too long, because I think you need at least 2 days left on the day timer for the Palace to be effectively completed to avoid not missing the deadline.

Tiger Mask W 15- Fierce Fight Bigfoot Match: GO HARUNA DO THE THING also Candy Pair sure is a team name. Kinda a weird match, but Bigfoot was entertaining enough.

WoT TGS: I'm not ready for MAXIMUM EDGE (unless Cadsuane and Nynaeve finally snap him out of it afterwards?) but I AM ready for MAXIMUM AMYRLIN

Persona 5: Man, either this is particularly tough, or I got spoiled by #FE (on hard!), or I'm just trying to push too far too fast. Regardless, the calling card has been sent, after two runs, a handful of game overs, and a bit of prep work. I am also excited for Hierophant arcana! We will see if I can handle the boss, and then I assume I get like 9 days to grind stats and links and such!

Palace 1 got really tough during that last push, but I didn't think the boss was terribly bad, just don't be thrown off too much by its "gimmick" part way in, it threw me off slightly since I didn't expect it right away until "it" happened, but I believe I still took it down on a first try however.

Tales of Zestiria: The first city puts you through a lot of backtracking before finally letting you advance to something else. There was basically an 1 1/2 hour period where only handful of battles were fought in the game, but then you finally get to do some exploration of the first major area in the game afterwards. Right now, the battles in the first open area of the game are as simple as can be, but there was one enemy out in the overworld that I wasn't sure if I should of fought yet, since it looked very different than the rest, maybe I'll go back and fight that one to see if I can take it out.

STEAM BATTLE #3- Tomoyo After: Believe this one was a gift, so thanks again! :D The artstyle changed. o_o I'm a bit sad that we don't get to work with Yoshino in this timeline, but this seems to suit Tomoya as well. ...Pretty much all fluff so far. Not that I'm opposed to dressing up Tomoyo, but I'm waiting for heavier stuff to kick in. I suspect Tomoyo will make it past the first round on Studio Key goodwill if nothing else, but if this or Steins don't step things up soon, they're gonna get trashed by Transistor or Recettear!

Persona 5: Alright, one level down! Kamoshida fight was unique and fun- I'm hoping that's indicative of future bosses! These characters all continue to grow on me- Morgana's my fave so far, but I have a bad feeling about him. I also still have to stop myself from thinking he's a girl. >_> Anyway, ground out some stats, and some Ryuji and Sojiro time. We're in good shape for next round, I think!'

Tales of Zestiria: Got a little farther, but the game really gives the run around with stuff pertaining to the game's first city, as there seems to be no end to the back and forth with this one, oh well, I guess that's just the way it goes for now.

As long as you keep your stats up with some consistency in Persona 5, and when Palace 2 rolls around, you should be okay taking it on. I remember there being a few weird quirks with it, but there should be nothing too insane.

LP MGS 8-1: well now all this stealth just makes me wanna play more P5! We caught a tsuchinoko I guess? And then we ran around as a scientist, which was amusing. They made a joke about frog scientists, and I got Homestuck flashbacks.

WoT TGS: BEATED. I would've called Rand's face turn an anti-climax, but they made it work somehow. Let's go bust some heads! Also, I was comforted by the Sanderson interview included on the audiobook- He didn't initially know who killed Asmodean either! ....lol Edge Mountain. Anyway don't hold your breath for ToM in the next day or two- for some reason my library has this specific entry in MP3 DISC format, which I highly doubt will play in my car from 2001. Time for inter-library loans again!

LoliRock 2-21- Stop in the Name of Lev, Pt. 1: So nobody is noticing the weird purple eyes, eh? Lev is giving off pretty clear "good guy this time" vibes, but I feel like "fool me twice, shame on me" is a good thought here.

Girl Genius catchup: Weird, but entertaining, side story. Jagers are always entertaining!

Cucumber Quest catchup: Pumice stuff and more PeridotxAlmond! Always fun. And now it's time to pick the next webcomic! There are lots of options I want to pursue (I keep finding more in ads!) but only one that did relatively well in the poll at the beginning of the topic!

Order of the Stick: Time to bring back this thing! I think I was caught up on this at some point, but that was a long time ago, and I've forgotten a lot. I imagine it'll come back to me, though! We're already past the dopplegangers, so that's good.

2 Tim 2-Titus 2: Solid stuff. I got a new Bible so I am reading out of a physical copy for once and I think that's helping focus a bit.

MLP 7-19- It Isn't the Mane Thing About You: Thanks! Oh hey, Zecora is back! Been a while, I feel like. Pretty forgettable episode IMO, but I did enjoy Rarity's mane at the end!

Persona 5: Already a bit into the museum! Madarame seemed like a cool guy, but so did Kamoshida initially too I guess.

STEAM BATTLE- #6 Roller Disco Dodgeball Derby: ...I am quite bad at this, and my lack of a mouse does me no favors. ...It's pretty fun anyway! I'm having issues finding ammo when I need it, but it's nice and straightforward, and has enough modes that I could play bot matches for a while before getting bored. And character progression!

THE VERDICT: ....I think, much as with Steins v. OJ, the actual play experience was better in the case of the lower seed. However, I put Steins;gate through on the expectation it would hook me later....and Tomoyo additionally has the ability to bank on Clannad's awesomeness. I feel kinda dirty doing so, but I'm gonna put Tomoyo After through here as well. That means it's Transistor/Recettear and Steins/Tomoyo in the semis!

Trails: Successfully bullied the duke into leaving the checkpoint, I guess! I'm supposed to be treasure hunting on the beach now, but not having much luck. These areas are way easier with Kloe here! ....but I still can't do much with Shining Poms.

P5: Almost got Madarame's route secured! Yusuke seems okay, but "okay" is not good enough to get a spot on the A-Team with this cast! I have a feeling I am going to get annoyed with some of the later dungeon puzzles, but we haven't QUITE hit that point yet. And as much as I enjoy having story and stuff mid-dungeon, I kinda miss being able to plow through the entire new block the day it opens up! The time management is a lot rougher in this game, I feel like. I have okay socials and levels, but kinda crummy links and I'm always out of lockpicks. Also, poor Ann :\

WoT ToM: ...I kinda figured Asunawa was important enough to die onscreen, but okay! I think I like Galad more than Gawyn at this point. I'm partial to the overly lawful good type, because I see those strengths and faults in myself. That, and Galad is doing good things while Gawyn is still just kinda derping even after going to Egwene.

With a lot of the Palaces, approximately two weeks seems to be the norm in the game, give or take a few days, so, they really do make you switch emphasis directly to them. The one thing I will say about Palace 3, is that it's puzzle structure isn't bad, but for that one, upon reaching a certain point in it, you may want to take some notes to keep track of it so it's easier to keep going forward. Other than that, Palace 3 was probably the easiest Palace in the game for me.

The time has come!

Culdcept Revolt: I understand the need for a tutorial, but it's kinda a pain to have to go through if you already know how to play! I'm still attached to the PS2 version's sprites, but oh well. It's dang Culdcept! And now it's portable! I'm excited. Couple matches in, and right back in the swing of things, other than the couple of details they changed in the rules. Being able to check opponents' hands is kinda handy. "Free Bats" is one of the worst names I have ever heard. ...Man, I wasn't expecting Boobs McLoveInterest to die in the opening bits of the plot!

WoT ToM: Gawyn is becoming a Nice Guy.

Digimon Tri 20 (Coexistence 3): Man I feel like nothing is really happening this arc but at least we're getting some good character st-WELL OKAY FIGHT SCENE
