I love disproportionate retribution tbh

How was it disproportionate?

"You killed my dog so i will mow you down in the hundreds"

Did you watch the movie?

John would have been okay with just killing the guy, but his father wouldn't let that happen. John knew he would have to take down them before eventually getting to him.

If you were the head of a crime syndicate and someone wanted to kill your son, you would just let him? Or would you send everyone you had after him?

Nobody said otherwise. You lot are creating an argument out of nothing, as you lot tend to do.

Lol....I'm not even on this board.

You're the one who said his actions were disproportionate.

The biggest overreaction in fiction happens in Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, where Kristoph kills and ruins the lives of several people because his client dropped him after losing a game of cards

they gave a better reasoning for the rage with his car in 2 so it wasn't just about the dog.

minor spoilz for 2:it wasn't really about the car but something inside it.

also, 2 had far better pacing than 1 and that alone makes it a better movie imo.

More like:

"You killed the last thing I have from my dead wife coupled with the simple fact that you killed my dog, you damaged her car, you beat me to the brink of death, you stole my car, and you broke into my home."

Because he was already an assassin, he had no problem taking down a crime syndicate.

I think if there’s enough emotional content behind an object, no matter how small it will justify any behavior to avenge its destruction.
