I like the movie better. The comic had a lot of extra content that I couldn't relate to the main story so it bored me.

The weapon to attack NY was dumber in the comic too. It was too convoluted

The movie is just a downscaled version of the comic, in which they tried to get a more "natural" ending.
The comic is superior.

I need to give the movie another try plus I haven't read the comics. I've fallen asleep twice during the movie. My wife loves it though.

tbh, I loved the film for dropping a lot of filler -- although the Hollis Mason excerpts and newspaper clippings gave some great backstory which I liked -- including that awful Tales from the Black Freighter which was a weak story designed solely to bulk out the series' run.

Plus Ozymandias's movie costume was a lot cooler and the movie conveyed quite a few scenes far better, such as the prison bathroom scene. Granted, I think I preferred the death of Hollis Mason scene in the comic; iirc, it didn't even make the theatrical cut of the film.
