Like, say there's someone who's completely super paranoid about home invasions.

He lives in the safest part of town where there has never been anything remotely close to a robbery or a home invasion.

Yet he's obsessed with it and goes completely ballistics at the slightest unfamiliar sound. Just the wind gently hitting the tree branches and he immediately thinks there's a home invasion and he hides under his desk crying with the phone in hand ready to call 911.

So, what happens if by some stroke of extreme bad luck, burglars randomly choose his house for their home invasion?

I mean, assuming he survives it, is his paranoia going to be worse, better, or will he have a complete mental breakdown?
