Or did they change it up? Admittedly we knew shit all of what Versus 13 was going to be besides "action rpg like kingdom hearts, and quote unquote mature".

I was going to get it because I like KH 1 and 2 but was told the gameplay is not as fun as those games and not very similar.

Yeah, and that's why the game feels like 2 different games that both are quite unpolished. Had the potential to be one of the best FF stories, sadly it was botched.

Do we really know that? I wonder. Still remember 10 years ago when I first watched that trailer and I thought it was fucking awesome, I imagined this amazing story between these 4 friends, this group of guys that looked like a boy band straight out of tokyo.

No story they've concocted could have lived up to my imagination.

Judging by story complaints I imagine they had to redo a lot of it. The original story was probably gonna involve itself with the XIII universe thanks to its name, but they had to scrap it.

Man, that garbage game really screwed the pooch on everything didn't it? I mean FF Agito 13 was changed to FF Type O (and still wasn't great) and you have this debacle.

They really jumped the gun with their stupid "fabula novella crystallis" thing, thinking they were gonna make another FF 7 expanded universe (which in itself most fans weren't particularly into either)
