Thankfully, the game I am playing now (Prey), is very lenient with that command to minimize the game, with absolutely no problems when I get back to it.

However, other games aren't so friendly, with some refusing to minimize, or some refusing to restore it without having issues.

I don't know if some developers test to see if games would be able to do that, or if it has to do with how the game engine is or something, or how well it is ported, but developers need to test that with every PC game, at least.

"Windowed Mode" has existed for a very long time now with PC games, and pretty much every game allows you to Alt Tab in Full Screen mode (although from my experience the issue with Alt Tabbing in Full Screen isn't the lack of the ability to do it, but some games are prone to crashing if you do it).

What the hell? Icoyar made a topic that isn't crap.

Yes, windowed mode is an option for most games, and borderless windowed mode usually runs just fine and allows alt+tab without issue. Some full screen games I've played have refused to alt+tab. Others will crash or run oddly if you try it.

Some developers lock out "Alt+Tab" because you can use it to open up cheating programs while the game is running.

It's been years since I've seen a game come out without a windowed mode. Kinda need it to get use out of that second monitor.

Remember ICOYAR doesn't know how to use a PC.

That being said, Borderless Window + 2 monitors. I've used that setup for the past 10 years.
