Yes but as I recall the graphics were literally just pixel squares, like a red pixel was a vampire and a green pixel was a human or something like that

How the fuck do I make titanium?

It's been taunting me forever and now after researching architecture it's even more in my face. Is it not until all the way later until I research geology? That's so far away still!

Maybe it unlocks after I make a trade ship and discover a new continent... I really need to up my wood production. Maybe I need to make the mint? I don't really want to yet. My gold production is so slow as it is and I'm doing just find getting resources with my hunters. Though I guess if I have that stuff being made automatically then I could give my hunters other jobs... Argh deciding what to aim for is so hard.

edit: Oh I can turn the mint off after I make it so no gold loss.

It's only of my worst games imo. Fought too much with the engine and couldn't get real graphics in. The balance is pretty off too, but it's still fairly addictive I guess.

I was getting overwhelmed in options, and it was becoming much less fun because everything was taking a good deal longer to complete/upgrade. So I decided to go for a method of putting all my focus on one thing at a time, moving as many kittens as I can from job to job, and it's made it more fun again.

Yeah the balance on the daywalker nests is way off. It takes too long waiting for daywalkers to spawn to have enough to commit to the next upgrade, and then it takes at least as long to reach the next upgrade. Meanwhile the living keep accumulating much faster because your daywalkers take a massive hit every time you upgrade their spawn rate. I'd be able to play a lot more flesh if I could just not throw away every daywalker to upgrade the spawn rate. Or even if there was a button to evolve more than 1 daywalker at a time I could use the otherwise unhindered chupacabra economy to supplement the daywalkers, but it would take millions of individual clicks to make meaningful progress manually creating daywalkers.

Yes for both nests I used a 1.5x exponential factor for increasing spawn rate which is super slow. It should be 2 at the minimum. Puppies used 5x for example. Plus the cost grew at a rate of 1.75x, so after 3 or 4 it would get even more unbalanced vs the spawn rate.

I never played the game for more than like a minute, so I'm surprised it ended up decently playable up to a few nests, but I've definitely done way better last-minute balancing on games before. Yeah, but this isn't a problem for the Chupacabra nests because you had goat farms which dramatically multiplied the effectiveness of much fewer goats.

With level 13 puppies I generate 3 Billion humans per second during the day.

With level 16 chupacabra spawn rate and level 13 goat farms my chupacabras (there are only 4 Million of them) have the capability to process 37 Billion dead humans per second.

But even with level 25 daywalker spawn rates and letting the game idle for an hour I only have 25~ MILLION (not billion like the other numbers) daywalkers. And they do not have a multiplier like the goat farms so they are only capable of killing 25 million humans per second.


So every day second 3 Billion humans are spawning and only 25 Million of them get killed. I currently have almost 2 Trillion humans in the field just slowly building up because I'll never have enough daywalkers to put a dent in them. And if I did reach 60 million daywalkers (would take at least another 90 minutes) then I'd be able to upgrade my daywalker spawn rate, but it would cost all 60 million of the daywalkers in the process, so for a slightly higher rate I lose *everything*.



But on the bright side I have 13 million diamonds.


Edit: And I love TDs so i'll try that one out tomorrow!
