it sounds like a great deal. Downloading is better than streaming. you get the best quality available. Also get 20% off if you want to buy the game.

the only thing that stinks half the games are 360 games. and it's only tied to games that are available digitally. (i can't think of any xbox one games that aren't digitally available but older 360 games might not be there) but who cares.

Decent idea in theory, but I think they are being too limited in practice for it to be any good.

If they put up the entire Xbox/360/One library for it then the service would be great. Even if it was just the first party games at first, then any 3rd party companies that they can convince to hop on-board. The number of games available should be in the thousands, not a paltry 100 games.

In theory its an AWESOME IDEA. Download > Stream.

In practice... well the lineup is fucking pathetic. They need to fix that immediately. If this is the best they can come up with, it deserves to fail imo.

Personally i think the line up is pretty decent

If you've played most of the bigger games then sure i can understand being disappointed but for people new to xbox or gaming in general its an excellent deal

The service is now live and you can check out everything it has to offer. They just sorta surprised everyone yesterday when they launched the service out of the blue. Currently it's only available to Xbox live gold members.

we know all of them, because it debuted a few days ago.

the lineup is pretty decent, a mix of X1 and 360 games, and for $10, it's not a completely terrible deal.

i mean, it is if you already have those games, but this isn't meant for those people.

and it's better than playstation now, because you download the games. playstation now you stream the game, and it's laggy and terrible.

Yeah, I just took a look.
It needs more Xbox One games and it needs more bigger name games, but on the whole I wouldnt really call it a bad launch, it got some fun to play games. More games will be added and it got potential to be better, and as an European gamer I actually have access to this service, unlike PS Now which is still in "3 countries only" beta...

That's really what it comes down to. I don't think this will ever be popular amongst more dedicated gamers who just buy the games they want, because this service will never include the highly anticipated games until enough time has passed that they've made most of their money from sales.

It just needs to be good enough that Mom and Dad can get it for little Timmy and it'll keep him happy.

it's essentially just microsofts version of EA Access.

i think you also get a discount if you were to end up buying one of the games from the Game Pass, while using gamepass. i'm not too sure on that, though.
