Not only are you more likely to be stressed and feel overworked, you lose out on the monetary value of those forfeited days — the ones that can't be rolled over or paid out.
In 2016, more than half of all Americans forfeited vacation days, amounting to 206 million unused vacation days worth some $66.4 billion, according to a survey of 7,331 full-time employees.
For the average worker, the lost value of that untaken paid time off comes out to $604, according to a report by Project: Time Off, which is sponsored by the U.S. Travel Association.

That, and people come to me at the end of the year asking when they can use their WEEKS of vacation time they have left.

We give you a whole damn year to use it ffs. That irritates me to no end.

I can roll over up to 400 vacation hours, then there is 32 separate extra hours that don't roll over and reset yearly. They get used. Can't imagine not using them lol.

if you dont use your paid vacation, depending on employer, it could just disappear at the end of year.

you still got paid, but you didnt use paid vacation time you are entitled to; its stupid.
