It was my first and only SO game. It was an awesome game, definitely should try it out.

Technically all the Star Ocean games are connected, but you don't have to play the others. Plus there's some not so obvious connections unless you do everything they have to offer.

SO3 is fantastic. I never played the first two but the fourth one was trash. Definitely play three.

It absolutely falls apart about 60% through the game as far as plot goes. The gameplay is very fun though

Disagree, I thought the plot twist was super cool. Didn't like they're psuedo intellectual ending, though.

The only Star Ocean I played was 4 and I really liked it, except for some extremely annoying characters. I think I'll pick this one up
