Policy lynching when you are in a bind is an okay practice in theory (although it usually means the day kind of sucked in terms of people being investigative) but leading the day with 'let's policy lynch' tends to stifle discussion and lead to not a lot to go on. If Ulti is scum then all's well that ends well, but if he is town you kind of destroy the day because instead of having earnest back and forth and discussing ideas you give people an easy out of 'well Ulti's a jackass it isn't my fault he was town.'

Ulti's an easy target, he still hasn't quite got the hang of playing mafia even 8 years later sometimes, especially when it comes to playing well with others (he can do nice often enough now I think, but well is another thing entirely) and my specific objection was VI lowering his usual standard of play to do this.

Also Sceptile pointed out scum likes to entangle themselves into town, and true enough, but I know I have been right a large majority of the time when I see someone make that type of town read early. Town reads can feel manipulative and cynical, that one did not. Although it has been pointed out ben's MO as scum does sometimes entail making town reads similar (?) to that, so perhaps my generic player 'x' script may not apply to him.

I'm not liking Nana's vote switch at all, and people outright saying they're okay with letting PJ idle is ridiculous. If ever there should be a day one policy lynch, PJ is it. We need some real standards with not letting people idle all game and only attacking active players, or else you create a meta where people idle all game knowing they'll never be suspected.

Oh and I'm okay with claiming. Sort of. I'm town's backup tracker, but I can throw that away and upgrade to something a lot better, which I plan on doing. The tracker shouldn't claim to confirm us both honestly, since I plan on you not actually having backup.

Did you forget what context is Nana? I was talking about "nerfed" town roles and recalled that such roles would not necessarily have the linked roles giving the illusion of a "nerfed" town role. That whole conversation though was again back when I thought that Meta was being markedly serious and people were giving him a pass for being specific when it was miles away from being specific.
