Gonna have to change my major. feels bad man. I wasn't even doing that bad but I got screwed over by a 15 page lab report that I can barely explain in detail. I just spent 5 hours trying to do it but barely made any progress :(

That was just less than a hour ago. I'd spent probably another good 5 hours on my introduction and references so it sounded professional, only to fail at interpreting my lab results. It's due in less than a week and I have exams and another report to do.

I spent almost 30 hours doing a 15 page report on Parkinson's disease. You gotta give it more, and don't give up, you can still do it.

It's not time that I'm particularly worried about but my understanding of the subject. It's a report on what we did in labs and I've spent hours searching for papers that tell me what I'm supposed to interpret from these results. Without any outside help to guide me, I'm screwed. I've tried to contact the professor and see if they could help me interpret the data but I'd doubt they'll be able to respond in time.

You're likely letting your self doubt cloud your judgements and affect your openness to learn. It's the same reason people who are math phobic dont do well in math classes. And it's not because they are just bad at math. It's because that fear had driven them to try to learn in a really ineffective way, just glossing over equations rather than trying to understand the relationships between the variables. Just remember that university classes are designed so that anybody can pass and even excel with enough effort.

Hey Im in biotechnology too! Good luck with your report if you decide to finish it. First and second year I could write my reports in a single night and get a solid B+/A- you just gotta know what you get marks for.

I managed to get man appointment with the professor so hopefully it all goes well

Thanks! I'm in third year now so I've written a fair share of reports. They weren't amazing but passable. I've improved but I'm struggling with this topic.
