I'm accepting of trans people, don't get me wrong, I'm gay myself. :o But sometimes I wonder about some of these MtF girls who exclusively date women as lesbians basically. Is it possible that some of these people just went that route because they had trouble picking up girls as a guy and thought it'd be easier if they were a lesbian? To increase their "market" basically?

I've been reading up on the history of Chris-chan (now Christine) and it seems like that is honestly what is going on there. I've went pretty far down the rabbit hole here. Chris-chan hated homosexuals for years and then ends up being a MtF transgender himself. Yet she still hates gay guys and exclusively likes women. She's went on and on about that fact.

Using Chris-chan as a benchmark for literally anything is a terrible way to start any conversation. Dude has tons of mental issues and being transgender isn't one of them. You are talking about a guy who got into a violent fight over an argument about Sonic's arms.

my trans friends would disagree. also, i've never seen a trans member of the lgbt community use terms like 'male to female.'

It is official calling a transgender a transgender is transphobic

No transgender person ever transitioned because of their sexual orientation. If you think a trans lesbian has an easier time getting a girlfriend than a straight cis man, you're so far off target.

Back before all the wpath standards and other gate keeping, you did have an occasional gay man who would transition but they're also the majority of the cases from the 70s and 80s who detransitioned and became vocal antagonists of transgender people.

people will be clear on the specifics when people use the appropriate terminology. that's kind of the whole fucking point about "policing" what terms to use.

Gay people have been through most of the same shit trans people have over the ages though. The medical "treatment" for gay people actually used to be gender reassignment surgery. Saying we're cousins isn't much of a stretch at all. :v
