I think it was Bart the General. It's really hard to remember though, since I've seen all of those old episodes probably hundreds of times.

I think it was the one where Homer goes to the Post Office and impersonates Mr. Burns to retrieve a letter or something. Then when the counter guy asks for his first name Homer was unable to answer. Hilarious!
