Clerics also cannot heal themselves with their own magic, at least from what I can tell so far. ...Well, they technically can, but doing so requires a fairly inaccurate draining spell.

I'm loving it so far; the amount it takes to use the spells is more than fair given how powerful they are with their terrain ignoring advantages. So far, its instantly become my favorite FE release since Radiant Dawn.
Not that I don't enjoy the ones between that and this, but not as much as this so far. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

Could clerics heal themselves before?
I don't recall that from the earlier games. --- Husikam ...Believes in Patterns ... Copied to Clipboard!

Could clerics heal themselves before? No. I'm feeling the game so far. It seems way easier than Conquest, but its fun. --- Am I going too hard? ... Copied to Clipboard!

Yeah I was put off by the differences compared to Fates and Awakening but I'm getting into the new groove. I definitely miss the weapon triangle though and I'm not fond of all these open field maps.

It's a remake of Gaiden which had much different mechanics than the rest of the series.

I'm glad they embraced the game's idiosyncrasies. Gaiden has cool ideas, but couldn't really actualize them. Shadows of Valentia is just what it needed.
Also gives us reason to believe future adaptations will be faithful to the original games as well, for you FE4/5 purists. ... Copied to Clipboard!

The HP cost is so freaking balanced in this game. Magic ignores the overpowered terrain, and they also outdamage almost physical attacks. Not to mention Seraphim is pretty much vital for Necrodragons and Nosferatu also happens to have 0 cost and does FULL DAMAGE HEAL, making Clerics also one of the most goddamn powerful class in the game.
It's different, but it's honestly better --- "Iwata was awesome" - Mr. Nintendo dinglebutt ... Copied to Clipboard!
