No one really thinks Allen is rigging the contest. He probably just doesn't realize how prone to suggestion everyone is by match pics missing certain entrants or having them in a bad order.

He is not that stupid. Of course he did. He's been running these contests for years to know the ins and outs as much as any of the regulars here. Seriously this logic would fly only if he was a new admin or something but he's been here for as long as if not longer than a lot of the people on the board.

I decided not to be bitter although this is a tough one to swallow for any of us who had a legit chance to finish on the leaderboard.

It is not about the prizes. I think it is more about bragging rights than anything. Even mine was a fun entry since I'm not a NA citizen and 97 winning would have guaranteed a Top 10 finish for me looking at the leaderboard today (I was at 17 yesterday).

This is more than just about money. It would have been immensely satisfying just being on the leaderboard at the end of the contest. It just sucks that it happened because 97 was handicapped in its pic presentation rather than being fairly beaten by the better year (which 2001 is just not in gamefaqs contest strength).

Anyways a lot of people received the short end of the stick with match pics this contest so I can't act like the only victim here.

Jesus and here I thought I was salty for getting screwed by a few match pics. Give it a rest. Allen is not a stat topic regular. The dude has a site to run. He doesn't care about winning a silly contest for bragging rights. How old are you people again?
