I've never seen Colbert's show, but all the clips I've seen online have all been Trump bashing. I mean yeah Trump sucks, but spice it up a little bit.

Having Obama, who really didn't give the talk show hosts much material to work with to mock him, is why Trump supporters don't remember that these guys ALWAYS do this with presidents that are easy to mock. It's simple humor because it's broadcast television and it's low hanging fruit because that's who these show are catered to. Obama was more the rarity of the former presidents. Maybe HW Bush is comparable. But W, Clinton, Reagan, Carter, Ford, Nixon, all of them got roasted routinely.
