yeah I'd think the plant's nuclear material would just all leak out and make the area uninhabitable for decades or centuries depending on whats being used

They don't generally use weapons grade uranium in nuclear power plants, and it would need to be slammed into each other regardless.

p sure power plants are designed to withstand that, the safety measures would activate. The plant itself would be destroyed, but the radioactive material would be sealed in tons of concrete.

sounds like a smart failsafe if true. I personally have no idea about the inner workings of nuclear power plant design, just the physics
