I mean for the Dark Tower movie it makes sense with the ending of the books and the whole endless cycles. So Roland being black works at least on some level (which is King's argument) but t it cases where the character's race does matter no don't change it.

He's still the same dude every time he cycles through. It's not he can just be black this go around and it makes sense.

Actually he does change there was a part in the book where Roland sees some of his alternate forms.

eh, the film was bad but johnny being black was not really an issue. nothing in his character really depends on him being white
if anything it was shitty that they didn't go all the way and make sue black too

Its just funny because they left his sister white. I'm sure they explained it by adoption or something but I just found it funny

I think there's basically 0% chance that the show won't have Geralt as the main character.

The biggest risk that might mean I'll lose interest is if it's animated.

I don't see what the big deal would be. Besides, if everything were exactly the same as it were in the books, it wouldn't be all that interesting. And did they ever clearly state what his skin color was in the first place?

The big thing for me is whether or not he can get into character. If his acting is good, then there shouldn't be an issue no? He's just a human playing a human character.

Gotta admit though, all the salt from racists and fanboys alike would be delicious.

Making geralt be fucking geralt doesn't mean everything else has to stay the same too.
