I'm currently at a 2 year college, and was going to transfer to the university here (UNLV), but I was really hesitant about it. Then I remembered UNR is a thing (actually kind of came to me in a dream) and it feels right to me.

Of course this means leaving my job, my girlfriend, friends, etc, but I'm really okay with all that.

/blogfaqs, I know, but I just needed to get this out somewhere. I can't apply for spring semester until September, anyway. I don't want to tell my girlfriend yet because I know she won't take it well at all.

I just don't know what to do with all my stuff. I'd prefer to live on campus.

I'd check out Reno. I lived there for 5+ years and it was an interesting place. It has its charms. Might be better than Vegas for living. You get more seasons anyway.

Most places would be better for living than Vegas lol. Reno does look really nice though, as a city. Much smaller than I'm used to, but I don't see that being a problem.

Geographically it's gorgeous but it's a dirty city in a lot of places. It's probably a lot nicer in the years since I left. If you do move there I have some suggestions for neighborhoods and friends that are urban homesteaders that sell the best produce and meat you can find in the area. Mmm. Miss their stuff.
