They're just excessive, my only gripe with them. I have family and friends who do an announcement party, a reveal party, and a baby shower, expecting gifts and attendance at all of them, then blow shit way the fuck up for the first birthday. They get a $50 gift card and I might go to one of them, depending on who it is. Fuck all the rest of it.
