I did think how am I going to turn a yt vid into a gif back then.. for less than a minute because I've just googled it

1. Record the part manually using OBS. It will output a .flv file:

2. Paste this in notepad and save it as whatever.bat. You'll need ffmpeg.exe in the same directory.
ffmpeg -threads 4 -i "%~1" -c:v libvpx -b:v 1.0M "%~1".webm

3. Drag and drop your .flv file over the .bat file. You'll get a .webm video that you can host on mixtape.moe and share

Paste the line below in notepad and save it as "whatever.bat":
ffmpeg -threads 4 -i "%~1" -c:v libvpx -b:v 1.0M "%~1".webm

Alright I pasted that line into notepad and saved it as JohnnyPills.bat on my Desktop.

I downloaded ffmpeg.exe and its folder is also on my Desktop.

You said I need ffmpeg.exe in the same directory, but I don't know what that means. Are they in the same directory if they're both on the Desktop or do they both have to be in the same folder?

Alternatively, Imgur just has a video-to-gif option which lets you turn fifteen seconds of a video into a gif.

Oh, guess I should give my method.

I use a software called DVDvideosoft to download the video from youtube, then make a gif out of it in Photoshop.

Be careful if you do decide to use DVDvideosoft, they like to try and install shit on you if you're not paying attention.
