Like how can you not enjoy the lena dunham stuff at least. A lot of that stuff is hilarious given the results. I like James Franco (sorta) But I will say this. I can't imagine anyone is compelled to vote for a candidate just because some rich celebrity told them to. The way they are so transparent about it "We are rich and you watch our movies, do what we say and vote for the candidate we want to win because we say so." They don't try to argue why, they just say do it and don't bother making a case. The objective is to run the ads towards likely democrat voters, hence they air them on MTV and Youtube, but not on platforms with conservative userbases because they don't want conservatives to vote. That said, they never told you how to vote before and let you decide yourself I watched last elections clips with Leonardo DiCaprio, Will Smith, Tom Cruise etc and they straight up didn't tell you how to vote in the ad, they even said pro McCain things AND pro Obama things in the ad and pretty much every celebrity remained impartial. Like I could genuinely believe they thought they were doing something good and not trying to control others, but to inspire them to have their opinions heard. Because of the two party system only two candidates have a shot at winning, and we only get to select one of the candidates as the DNC candidate is nearly predetermined. And maybe this wouldn't be so bad if the DNC selected in the best interest of the people, but they clearly don't. They decide based on who gave the most to the party and who they can control.
