My home ISP unfortunately has a data cap but my phone is unlimited (with throttling eventually but idc) I want to watch Netflix and YouTube on my TV but using my mobile network and not my home internet.
Should I buy an Apple TV or that lightning a/v cable?

Plz advise.

I was gonna go for the Apple TV and try airplay since the lighting a/v cable is so fucking overpriced.
Which will work for what I need?

Guise I'm trying to get my gf in the mood to bang by watching a movie. I can't do that if I can't put a movie on.
Help a bother out.

My LTE is enough for 720p streaming.
With an Apple TV I know you have to have them connected over WiFi to use Airplay so I assume it'll just default to trying to use my internet. How do I make it use the network connection?
Or do I need the overpriced lightning a/v connector?

What movie?

I haven't decided yet because right now I'm just trying to figure out how I'm gonna get it on my TV.

It should technically be possible to Airplay mirror as far as iOS8 with LTE. You connect to the network and set the wifi connection to static. It will then be connected to the network and default to LTE for Internet if you unplug the home connection from the router. Then you just Airplay mirror.

But I have no idea if it's still possible with iOS10, and the only reason I say this is because Google did remove Miracast support in later Androids, so all is possible.
