It's like every afternoon now, she's just always nowhere to be found. Yet she's celebrated like this amazing person in our department.

She'll be gone for 20, 25 minutes. Then she'll slowly meander back to her desk, all the while staring down at her phone. Then she'll be at her desk for maybe 15 minutes before she wanders off again.

I'm getting real fucking sick of it, especially because we have to answer phones in a cycle. She's just out there avoiding phone calls and nobody does anything about it. She's so fucking worthless.

Surely others must notice this as well. Does her performance suffer? Is she doing something else that can be perceived as good in a manager's eyes?

Could very well be favoritism if there's no other explanation and what you're saying is complete truth; not just one sided.

She's not getting a damn thing done. She's walking slowly like a zombie staring at her fucking phone. She's a completely worthless bum who never made anything of herself. I can't imagine working this job for 10 years, fucking ridiculous. You gotta have no work ethic at all.

And to make matters worse, the manager promised me a promotion like 3 months ago. I've brought it up once a month ago and she said she submitted the stuff for it so it's in HR's hands. They're just bullshitting me along.
