I quite liked dragon Quest 7 where you go into everyone's house and smash their potted plants and vases and open their dressers in their bedrooms.

Heck, in radiata stories you use a little kick as a way of interacting with shelves, drawers, portraits and chests. And you can trigger kick duels with most townspeople, or else they'll summon guards. And some have sweet loot like stat boosting items.
